Chom Café Chiang Mai – A Little Green Paradise in the City

During my trip to Chiang Mai, one of the places that completely stole my heart was Chom Café , a garden-style café that felt like a hidden tropical paradise. From the moment I stepped inside, I was surrounded by lush greenery, soft mist, and the soothing sound of flowing water from fountains and tiny streams. It was like stepping into a calm rainforest — cool, refreshing, and almost magical. Everywhere I looked, there was something beautiful to take in — vines curling around wooden arches, koi fish gliding through ponds, and sunlight peeking through layers of green leaves. The whole place feels alive, and even though it’s quite popular, the layout makes it feel private. Dining areas are spread out across different sections, with some open-air corners by the water and others enclosed in glass, allowing you to enjoy the garden view in air-conditioned comfort. Family Thrills and Mountain Breezes on the Jungle Coaster, Chiang Mai

My visit to the Jungle Coaster in Pongyang Adventure Park , Chiang Mai was one of those spontaneous decisions that turned out to be absolutely worth it. We hired a red songthaew (Rod Daeng) from the city, and the drive up itself was quite an experience — winding roads, cool mountain breeze, and lush greenery on both sides. It felt like a small adventure even before the main one began. The Jungle Coaster is basically a single-rail alpine coaster that lets you control your own speed. You sit on a small cart that runs down the track through the forest. What surprised me most was that, the coaster immediately went down after the start — fast, fun, and full of adrenaline. The climb only happened at the end of the track, when it slowed down automatically and pulled itself up to the station again. On my first ride, I sat in between my father and my sisters.
